The Mayor and City Council want to make the town a village that moves and prosperous. For this a Development Plan and Sustainable Development was established in 2001. Our policy invariably revolves around four themes: Living, Acting, Business, Breathe, verbs that can be found on our logo.

 LIVE: To this end, we must fulfill three conditions: provide employment and housing and a pleasant living environment.

ACTION:  This is why we put significant resources, in conjunction with our partners, the  associations, the “Caisse d’Allocations Familiales”, “Youth and Sport”, the Community of Cities CCA 800 Levier Val d'Usiers Area, the “Conseil Général” ,, the Government Administration so that our inhabitants can get  all services available in one city: post office, perception, police, fire stations, schools, private and/or assisted  homes and apartments, land supply, associations, sports and cultural facilities. Children are taken care of very young age to adolescence: school meals, toy library, animation, young, teen-club throughout the year, leisure center without accommodation with many activities during the holidays, library. Our policy for young people is reflected in our presence alongside associations, by publishing jobs on our site and the municipal leaf, by a land supply off at very affordable prices. Our elderly persons can have the care of the ADMR (Help in Rural Areas ) and  a retirement home and our disabled friends for a home.

 UNDERTAKE:  This is the second thrust of our policy: to help companies and businesses in place, thanks to our investments, and through targeted interventions, and for  companies  who wish to settle, offering platforms, create a relay center in the Community of Cities area, since the CCA 800 exercises economical competence  closely with the council of Levier since 2003. Through our commitment, the wood pole of Levier is nationally recognized and new businesses are coming on stronger. All this of course, to maintain and create jobs, passed its 2100 inhabitants and ensure our headquarter role inside  the Community of Cities CCA 800.

BREATHE:  All these initiatives should not prevent us from maintaining a balance between urban and agricultural areas and forest areas. A program to safeguard our hedges, our sinkholes, and a project to give new impetus to the “Route des Sapins” (about 50 km in the most beautiful fir forest  in Europe), the existence of a camping, and an equestrian center, all these actions contribute to make Levier as  a small town in the country. A mayor who is dedicated 100% to his commune, surrounded by an active team, innovative and coherent at the head of the village, is listening  to you and works quickly and effectively to achieve the goals defined and mentioned above. Consultation with the public is organized through commissions and neighborhood meetings for specific projects. The people of Levier, the Lévitiens, must feel good in their village. About you, who find this message from the outside, if you share our goals, if you want to actively take part  in village life and well join us!
